  Nigeria, a country with diverse ethnicities, cultures, and religious affiliations, has grappled with numerous challenges to its peace and stability. Among these challenges, gender inequality has persisted, undermining the full realization of democratic ideals and exacerbating conflicts. When the word "gender" is uttered, most people immediately associate it with women, who in many societies face discrimination and are frequently placed in a disadvantageous position with respect to men.
